INFO AS OF 1/26/2008

To all NYIBC members

The Philadelphia trip is being switched from overnight to day trip since I have not received enough deposits from those who signed up. The cost of the trip will be about $85 for 30, $75 for 40, and $70 if full.

I need to hear from those who signed up if you are willing to do the day trip. I also would like to hear from those who now wish to go. The deadline to sign up is Friday and I must have the money now later than the 1/31 game. If you need to mail it I will give you my address. Early responses will be appreciated

INFO AS OF 12/21/2007

To all NYIBC members

The NJ trip has full! We have two buses for this trip. Thanks so much for the support.

For the Philadelphia Trip, I have done some work and have found a Days Inn with reasonable rates. It is located in the Downtown area near all the points of interest. There is one catch though, there are only 10 rooms with 2 beds. I am therefore asking members who are traveling with their children if they would be willing to use the King bed if need be. You can respond by saying, Request 2 beds but will take King if necessary. The rates per person are as follows based on 30 people.

Single $240 Double $180 Triple $160 Quad $150

If we get 40 people it will go down at least $20 pp, and of course even more if we fill up.

If you respond, it will be a reservation of space, and you will need to get me a deposit ASAP. I have been working closely with the Flyers rep to hold tickets, who has since last time, has been excellent . I had a very good interest on my feeler Email, I hope to get a good response for this as well.

INFO FROM 8/5/2007

I have received some responses to the trips. So far it seems people are willing to go to Montreal on February 2, which is Super Bowl Saturday, but we should be back in plenty of time to see the game. I am looking for more people so I can reserve the date. The last trip the prices were per person based on Single $285 Double $225 Triple $215. I expect them to be near the same. If you have not replied to me yet about this trip, then please do. This will be the only overnite bus trip and it is a great city to visit.

We will not do the 10/13 Philly game, but will do the NJ and try the later Philly game.

INFO FROM 7/22/2007

Hope you are enjoying your summer! As many of you know the schedule has been released, and it is the worst that I have seen in all my years as Trip Coordinator. We have only one proposed overnite along with a few day trips. They are as follows:

Oct 13 Philadelphia @ 7 PM, This is only our 6th game of the season so I am not to sure we can pull this off. It would be a day trip, we would return after the game. There is another Philly game below.

Feb 2 and March 15 Montreal. We have a choice here, but there is a hitch! The 2/2 game is Super Bowl weekend, although it is a favorable 2 PM start which means you can have the night in Montreal. The 3/15 game is a 7 PM start. I will definitely run one or both if the response is good. This will be the ONLY overnite trip we have scheduled. YOU WILL NEED A PASSPORT!

Feb 23  NJ @ 1 PM, the first chance to see The Rock (Devils new arena). Be prepared for sticker shock as the tix may be pricey. A suggestion was made for a roll your own, but it will be cheaper and safer ( even with Harry driving ) then taking the railroad.

March 8 Philadelphia @ 7 PM, This game is easier to coordinate although it will be consecutive weeks with the Montreal trip.

I would like those interested in the trips to contact me with the trip you are interested and how many in your party ASAP so I can get working on them.

Thanks
Ronnie Kind aka NYIBCtripguy

NYIBC Road Trip Rebate Program

We have designed a rebate program, for our members, which is based on the amount of people that go on our trips. Last year we enjoyed large groups, so the prices reduced on all trips. Our trips are based on 30 people attending, so if we exceed that the price of the trip reduces as we reach 35, 40 etc. This comes from splitting the bus fare and sometimes on ticket discounts for higher amounts. We will either reduce the price before the final payment, or you will get a cash rebate on the bus. So come and join us cheer for our team on foreign soil and explore some wonderful places! Don’t hesitate get that deposit in now, trips have been selling out!!!!

Click here, to access the Trip Application.  Print and out and send to Ron, for each trip.
