Club Meetings 2008-2009 Season (click on the picture of

The first meeting
for the 2008-09 season will be:
WEDNESDAY OCTOBER
8TH -
GUEST IS ISLANDERS HEAD COACH SCOTT GORDON
YES FOLKS, BEFORE THE
SEASON STARTS, THE BOOSTER CLUB WILL GET THE CHANCE TO GRILL
THE COACH. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU GET TO ATTEND
THIS MEETING. IF YOU ARE NOT A MEMBER, YOU CAN JOIN
THE CLUB AT THE MEETING.

The guests for these
meetings will be announced in adequate time before the
meeting, and will be sent on the mailing list, as well as
here on the website, please check here often for more
information.
Meetings are held at the Long Island Marriott. The
meetings start at 7:30 PM. (With exception of Sunday
meetings which will take place in the afternoon.)
There is usually about 10-15 minutes of club business before
the guest appears. A player (or two) usually is our guest.
After March, due to team rules, we can not have players as
guests, and we usually get someone from the team, or an
official to come. In Lieu of a gift for appearing, the NYIBC
makes a donation in the guests name to the Companions in Courage
charity run by former Islander great Pat LaFontaine.
We do a 50/50 raffle, as well
as have door-prizes as well. We also have NYIBC novelties to
sell as well. PLEASE SUPPORT THE CLUB'S EFFORTS.
Non-members may attend meetings
for a $5.00 charge. If the guests wants to become a
member, the $5.00 charge will be deducted from the cost of membership.
