MEETING WITH PAT LAFONTAINE -

that I took from the meeting with Pat LaFontaine on
Monday, February 9th.
The meeting was well
attended with nearly 150 people coming. It was
great to see a mixture of young and old fans with lots
of memories of Patty and his days with the team.
From his Olympic team memories to the "Easter Epic",
there were many great memories of Patty and his days on
Long Island. We are also glad that he has made
Long Island his home again!
We are also extremely
proud of his accomplishments in the "Companions in
Courage" foundation. We urge you to visit the
site, as well as get involved. There are special
kids that benefit from the wonderful things that this
foundation does.
Lastly, we congratulate
Patty once again, on his induction to the Hockey Hall of
Fame. He is one of the best American hockey
players ever, and we are extremely glad, that he started
his career as an ISLANDER!

Dear Boosters.
A few weeks ago we were approached by NHL "Cool Shots"
about an opportunity to raise money for charities and
enjoy some games of "Backyard Celebrity Shinny".
Last month, Denis Leary and I hosted Michael J. Fox, Cam
Neely and others at our backyard rinks. The highlights
will be presented on an episode of NHL Cool Shots that
debuts on ESPN this week.
