Nystrom Award 2008

Since 1991, the New York Islanders have presented the Bob Nystrom Award, to the Islander "who best exemplifies leadership, hustle and dedication."

In 2004 and 2007 - the Booster Club had the honor of voting exclusively for this award. Once again, for this season, the 2007-2008 winner will be voted on by the members of the Club.

Congratulations to Richard Park, who was this year's overwhelming choice. NYIBC President Claire Harding, and Bobby Nystrom present Richard with the plaque before the Islander/Flyer game on March 29th. Richard is a most deserving choice for the award this season. He has shown the qualities that most typify the play that Bob Nystrom provided the Islanders for his entire career. Once again, congratulations Richard!
