The New York Islanders Booster Club was organized in
1972 to promote the sport of ice hockey on Long Island by
supporting the area's National Hockey League franchise, the
then newly formed New York Islanders. In the years since, we
have cheered the Islanders on through bad times and good
times. As a member of this club, you will have the opportunity
to meet other Islander fans and enjoy Club sponsored
activities.
MEMBERSHIP: - What does membership entitle you? First
of all - membership lasts from September to August. The
cost is $22 for Adults, $17 for teens, $12 for children under
12. Family rates are available as well. For each
child when two adults sign up, you can take $2.00 off. Membership
entitles you to attend meetings during the season, along with
our monthly Newsletter called "Center Ice".
Membership also enables you to attend
trips with the club to various NHL cities, as well as being
involved with New York Islanders Booster Club charitable
endeavors. The Booster Club is what you make of it,
so make your membership a good one!
TRIPS TO OTHER NHL CITIES:
Cheering the Islanders to victory in "foreign
territory" is always exciting win, lose or tie! In
past seasons we have visited Montréal, Toronto, Boston,
Washington, Pittsburgh, New Jersey, Hartford, Colorado,
Phoenix, Chicago, Tampa, Florida, Nashville and St. Louis.

MEETINGS:
Once a month during the season, we get together for a General
Meeting. The few minutes of business is followed by a guest
speaker, usually a player and some times a member of

NEWSLETTER:
Published frequently during the season and once during the
summer. "Center Ice" keeps members
up-to-date on all club activities.
OTHER ACTIVITIES:
Each season the Booster Club tries to sponsor several
different activities especially for children to enjoy. In
recent years these have included a tailgate party at the first
Saturday's game, (we also sell tickets for those who need them
for this game), a Christmas party
Also, we have had Chinese Auctions which were a great success for our
Charities which revolve around Long Island and NHL based
oragnizations, as well as for the members and guests who
attend.
