Opening Night -
it has a great ring to it....
The latest
season of Islanders home games will be
taking place on Saturday, October 8th, 2010,
as the Blue and Orange will take to the ice
against the Dallas Stars.
On this special night, we will get to
witness the Islander debuts of Mark Eaton,
Zenon Konopka, PA Parenteau, Milan Urcina,
and James Wisniewiski. I am sure that
there will be a lot more excitement and
pageantry as most opening nights are - so we
hope you take advantage and be there.
The NYIBC
will take part in an annual tradition for
this game. First, we will be selling
tickets to this Opening Night game. In
addition, in
the hours preceding the opening of the building,
we will have our annual opening day tailgate
party, as we gear up for all the
festivities.
We are in the
process of ordering
the tickets.
As soon as we know
the details, we will
make them available.
Tickets are sold on
a first paid,
first served basis
so there is simply
no reason to call or
email to see if
tickets are still
available! The best
thing to do is send
a check for the full
amount, made out to:
NYIBC
Opening Night
Tickets
6 Everett Place
Halesite, NY 11743
If by chance we
cannot fill
everyone’s request,
your check will be
returned. An email
will go out if
ticket supplies run
out but why wait
for that to happen?
Cutoff day will be
about 3 weeks before
the game, another
reason not to wait
till the last
minute. This offer
is open to all
club members.
You may order
tickets for your
friends and family
but YOU are
responsible for full
payment at the time
of your order.
Please let us know
if you need handicap
seating. AND
PLEASE...
Include an email
address and the
snail mail address
you want the tickets
sent to. We will
send a confirmation
email when we get
you check.
Send you questions to Claire at nyibc2@aol.com.
For the
Tailgate Party - the fun
starts at 3:00 PM. Go to the South
west corner of the parking lot (note the
Google Earth picture below). It is a
bring your own ... No Glass, but anything
else goes. Bring a BBQ if you like,
sandwiches, other food and drink -- it's all
good. We will break it up around 5:45
to walk over to the building, as the gates
open around 6:00.
Just come,
mingle, and have a good time with your
fellow boosters, as we get ready to start
our season. Hope to see you there.
