Charities Chairperson
AND NOW FOR 2009-2010
Even though the hockey season
has not begun, I am always
working on charities and what we
can do.
Upon speaking with my
co-chairperson Jill Kozik, she
asked if at our first meeting we
can collect children's
band-aids. It was a great
success this past season, when
we did it, that I am asking once
again for our members over the
summer to collect band-aids so
we can donate them to
Schneider's Children's hospital.
Also at our November meeting,
we will be collecting for the
Mary Brennan Inn in the form of
non-perishable foods, paper
towels etc. Last year we were
able to donate 300 pounds of
food for them.
If anyone has a suggestion on
a charity that we might be able
to help, please let us know. We
may not always be able to
accommodate, but are always open
for suggestions.
